In Chicago, BILL JACKSON began his theatre career as a dancer in Damn Yankees with Gwen Verdon and Ray Walston in Chicago and on an east coast tour of the Music Fairs, Showboat with Mickey Rooney at the Arie Crown Theatre, the original musical The King of New London with the Travel Light Theatre, The WARP Trilogy with The Organic Theatre under the direction of Stuart Gordon, and the national tour of Godspell that ended at the Marriott Lincolnshire.

In Chicago, BILL sang in various night clubs including THE BULLS, REDFORD’S, THE PLAYBOY CLUB, THE BLACKSTONE HOTEL, and OUTER DRIVE EAST.

BILL has been an actor in Milwaukee since 1986 where he appeared in Peter Pan as Captain Hook, Sweeney Todd as The Demon Barber, The King and I as the King of Siam, and the Midwest premiere of Side Show as Jake. He also appeared at Milwaukee’s Skylight Music Theatre in Ain’t Misbehavin’, Once On This Island, and as the voice of the Plant in Little Shop of Horrors. He acted for the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre under the direction of the late and beloved Milwaukee director, Monty Davis as Belize in Angels in America: Perestroika and as the sinister Mullah in Homebody/Kabul by Tony-Award winning playwright, Tony Kuschner. and in My Children, My Africa as Mr. M. At Waukesha Civic Theatre he performed in The Man of La Mancha as Don Quixote/Quijana and he directed and choreographed West Side Story and The Fantasticks. Other performances have included The Tempest with Milwaukee Shakespeare as King Alonso, Inherit the Wind as E.K. Hornbeck, and Pippin as the Leading Player.
